Effective Guided Imagery
There are several factors that facilitate the guided imagery process.
1. It is important to give yourself permission to let go completely and allow yourself to just be in the moment - without effort or trying. In turn you’re able to temporarily suspend the busy mind, letting go of all the negative and self censoring thinking.
2. Guided Imagery engages the power of your imagination. Imagination is the gateway to accessing the many layers of the subconscious and higher mind. This is simply achieved while experiencing deep physical relaxation and a focused state of concentration.
3. Guided imagery enhances your natural intuition and inner sense perceptions. You may see through images, pictures or movies; color or black and white; symbols or archetypes; hearing or feeling; sensing or knowing. We all have these internal sense mechanisms - it is merely a matter of practice and allowing yourself to remain relaxed, focused and in the moment.
